Successful fundraising is vital to all non-profits. Good planning and sound management are always keys to success. Fundraisers can meet the ongoing needs of your organization and are the cornerstone of many funding plans. Fund Development is the next logical step for any organization that sees itself as a long-term contributing member of a community seeking to build its organizational capacity and enter into long-term commitments with its clients and partners.
This Fund Development workshop, the first in a series presented by the Ministry of Culture and Community Services, Community Development Unit in partnership with the Nonprofit Sector Link, will remove some of the mystery around fund development.  We’ll provide tools designed to help organizations think about the future strategically, develop sustainable relationships and move towards ensuring long-term viability for your organization.

About Culture and Community Services and what expertise and knowledge will Karen Doyle bring to us on February 8, 2012:

They provide a broad range of programs that support a high quality of life and are valued by Albertans.

Quality of life is further supported through programs that provide financial assistance to communities, the non-profit/voluntary sector, the arts, film and heritage. The preservation and presentation of Alberta's historical resources is realized through the Provincial Archives of Alberta and world renowned museums and historic sites across the province.

The Ministry consists of the department and agencies, boards and commissions that report directly to the Minister including:
