Professional Development

Professional development is a key strategy for nonprofit capacity-building in our community; it strengthens individual, organizational, and sector effectiveness. The focus of these sessions will be needs-based; topics will be generated by the network. The intent is to provide a broad range of high quality, inexpensive learning opportunities.



Workshops Schedule

Typically a half day, or occasionally a full day, these topics are wide-ranging, meant to target specific topics that are relevant and practical and generally there is a low fee.

Addtional Nonprofit Webinar sources 

Webinars are an inexpensive and effective way of learning more about a particular topic facilitated by a top-notch expert in the particular field without having to leave town. Typically one hour in length, these sessions are supported by visuals and zero in on a key topic of relevance to nonprofit organizations. Opportunity for questions and discussion with participants is included, and a summary and/or visuals are provided.

 


 

Lunch and Learn Schedule

The lunch bag series offers short but relevant and interesting personal and professional development to staff and volunteers in the non-profit sector. Facilitated by local resources, these free sessions are held at The Redpoll Centre where you can bring your lunch and meet with your colleagues in an informal atmosphere. Coffee, tea and juice will be provided. Sessions begins right away.
