Current Collaboration Projects:

The Wood Buffalo Capacity Building Project

Project Description
The Faculty of Arts is working on an exciting project that will help a rapidly growing community in northern Alberta build social and non-profit capacity.  Designed to strengthen community empowerment and engagement, the overarching goal of the project is to help make Wood Buffalo a vibrant place for people to live, work and raise a family.

The Faculty of Arts is using action-based research to engage community “barn building” leaders from both Wood Buffalo and Waterloo Region to work together in finding creative solutions.  While the primary focus is community building through the non-profit sector, the project is designed to respond to emerging needs and opportunities that are identified by the community.
