Volunteer

There are volunteer opportunities available at the Fort McMurray Food Bank at all times. Volunteer roles include sorting and shelving food, cleaning, heavy lifting and administrative work as needed.  Feel free to stop by our location at any time during operational hours to offer help.
Unless there are large groups of five or more, volunteer hours under normal circumstances are in between 9am until 4:30pm.
Our volunteers always go above and beyond with their services.  They are the best!

Assistance

At the Fort McMurray Food Bank, they work very hard to treat all clients with dignity and respect. All different kinds of people with different financial situations use the food bank. They work with you to make sure your experience at the food bank is a positive one.
Receiving a Hamper

You must bring in the following information to your appointment:

• Photo ID for adults
• Alberta Health Care cards for children
• Current proof of income
• Current proof of expenses (ex. Rent receipt, current bills, other legitimate expenses)      
  

Acceptable forms of income include: pay stubs, Employment Insurance (EI), AISH, Child Support, bank statement, letter that states your application for assistance

Referrals are accepted from individuals, community agencies, schools and health services
